Family Update 04/26/2005

We are winding down the school year here in LaGrange, KY (we moved here last June) and getting ready to move again!!!

We are going to be moving at the end of this month back to Paducah (9th move in the last 12 years!). We are looking forward to it in most ways and dreading it in others. We will miss Trey and Dillon's school alot, their pediatricians, and their Tae Kwon Do class.

We will be living with relatives for a while this summer while we start building our new house. That should be alot of fun for everyone!!!

Trey and Dillon are in a great school and really enjoy their classes. Of course, they like recess and PE the most, but also enjoy Art (Trey) and Music (Dillon). They took karate for 3 months during the winter and are in a Tae Kwon Do class now. They play outside most all day/every day and now that we are on Daylight Savings Time, it is very hard to get them in and ready for bed before dark. They ride bikes, scooters, and skateboards with all the neighborhood kids.

Michelle is enjoying staying at home with the boys and being a stay-at-home Mommy. I am working for an ex-Amish cabinet company taking care of sales and marketing for them. I still do some kitchen and bath design and will continue to work for them after our move.

I am also officially getting paid to kayak now. Riot Kayaks had the misfortune of hiring me (hiring may be too strong a word considering what they pay me!) to paddle their boats and get others to try them out. This does keep my kayaking expenses down, they give me a few boats every year and the money they pay me takes care of my gas and camping expenses.

I also am now a ACA Certified Kayak Instructor, so if I can get people brave enough to let me, I can teach them to paddle!

Well this is my first real blog and it has gone on too long. We will be adding pictures of the kids and our adventures periodically, so check back soon!
